Pashmak

This beautiful girl has experienced more upheaval and change throughout her life than any cat should ever have to endure. Pashmak came to us via another rescue, having moved from foster home to foster home and never being able to stay in one place for very long.

Honestly, we cannot understand how, after several years, this wonderful girl still hasn’t found her forever home.

Pashmak is affectionate, confident, full of personality and a real character. She isn’t the sort of cat who will hide away when she arrives somewhere new. After everything she has been through, she has become remarkably confident in new surroundings — but that doesn’t mean the constant change hasn’t taken its toll.

No cat should have to spend most of their life in rescue. Rescue is sometimes a necessary stopping point, but the greatest thing we can ever hope for is to see them finally walk through the door of their forever home and know they will never have to leave again.

So, we are making it our mission to find that home for Pashmak. ❤️

Pashmak knows exactly what she wants, and although she is exceptionally friendly and loves nothing more than sleeping on your chest at night, she will also let you know when she has had enough. If she’s finished with fuss, she may give you a little warning swat — thankfully without claws! Because of this, we feel a home without young children would be best for her.

We also feel that some of her behaviour may come from the confusion of repeatedly allowing herself to settle, only to be uprooted and moved somewhere else again. It is heartbreaking to think of how many times she has had to start over.

Pashmak also does not get along with other cats or dogs, so she will need to be the only pet in the home.

What she needs now is: stability, patience, love and someone who will never give up on her. After years of being passed from pillar to post, Pashmak deserves to finally know what it feels like to belong.
